Barbara Wiernik's "Between Whispers" -

It's a contemporary vocal jazz project where voices seek each other out, brush up against each other, meet.
Solo and collective voices respond to each other, improvising and breathing together. Each piece is an organic conversation, an exploration of vocal textures and shared vibrations.
The singers are accompanied by remarkable instrumentalists, partners in a free, sensitive and lively dialogue. Together, they create ever-changing soundscapes.
This project was born of Barbara Wiernik's artistic research, conducted as part of a doctorate devoted to contemporary vocal jazz in Europe. In the course of this adventure, she forged deep human and musical bonds with singers from all over Europe.
The result of this research is an album to be released in early 2026 on the Igloo Records label, featuring :

For this exceptional evening at the Senghor, the project takes on a unique form. Barbara Wiernik brings together five artists from the Belgian and international vocal scene: Sarah Klenes, David Linx, Anu Junnonen, Emily Allison, and François Vaiana. Joining them are Sigrid Vandenbogaerde, Alain Pierre, Fil Caporali, Nicolas Fiszman, and Antoine Pierre, rounding out this lineup specially conceived for this concert.
This ensemble will exist only for the duration of this evening, serving as a living extension of the encounters that shaped *Between Whispers*.
